Kunwar Jitin Prasad

Kunwar Jitin Prasada (born 29 November 1973) is an Indian politician. He stood for the 2004 Lok Sabha elections on the INC ticket and is currently a Member of Parliament from Shahjahanpur.
Family
Jitin Prasada is the son of vetern Congress leader Kunwar Jitendra Prasada, who was the Vice Presedent of the INC as well as the Political Advisor to two Prime Ministers of India, Late Shri Rajiv Gandhi in 1991 and Late Shri P V Narasimha Rao in 1994.Jitin Prasada hails from a farming family of Shahjahanpur in the state of Uttar Pradesh. His great grand father Shri Jwala Prasada was an Imperial Civil Service officer before independence and grandmother Shrimati Purnima Devi was the niece of Rabindra Nath Tagore. Jitin Prasada’s grandfather Kr. Jyoti Prasada in freedom struggle and the Congress party, he was elected to various legislative and local body positions and mother Kunwarani Pamela Prasada hails from Sikh family of Kapurthala. His mother Kanta Prasada is a Rajput from Himachal Pradesh.He has a sister Kumari Janhavi Prasada, a documentary filmaker and peace educator.
Early Life
Jitin Prasada studied at The Doon School, Dehradun. He did his BCOM(Hons) from the prestigous Sri Ram College of Commerece, Delhi University and then went ton to do his Masters in Business Administration from Indian managemant Institute (IMI), New Delhi. Jitin Prasada worked at DSP Meryll Lynch and then on to BPL Net.
